Private Client Tax Principal

About the role

Join a top‑10 UK accountancy practice as a Private Client Tax Principal, working from our London office. You will advise high‑net‑worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and trustees on complex personal and wealth tax matters, delivering strategic solutions across inheritance tax, succession planning and multi‑generational wealth structures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of private clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals and family trusts.
• Provide technical expertise on inheritance tax, trusts, estate planning and succession strategies.
• Lead advisory projects on multi‑generational wealth planning and complex tax issues.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and act as their primary tax adviser.
• Collaborate with partners and senior colleagues on technical and risk matters.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and contribute to practice growth.
• Mentor junior team members, supporting their technical development.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of private client taxation, trusts, estates and inheritance tax.
• Proven experience advising high‑net‑worth individuals, families and wealth structures.
• Ability to manage a complex client portfolio and deliver high‑quality advice.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and a trusted adviser mindset.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
• CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent).
