Private Client Tax Senior Manager – Bristol

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the Private Client tax compliance team in Bristol. This role combines high‑quality compliance delivery with the opportunity to provide advisory services across a broad range of private‑client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of self‑assessment returns for high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and trustees.
• Maintain and improve the efficiency of the personal tax compliance service.
• Identify and develop additional advisory opportunities for private‑client clients.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with clients and professional intermediaries.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior tax professionals within the team.
• Contribute to business development and the strategic growth of the Private Client practice.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a Private Client tax team within a professional services environment.
• Proven track record of managing a portfolio of complex self‑assessment returns.
• Strong organisational and workflow management abilities.
• CTA qualified (preferred) or ACA, ATT or equivalent qualification with substantial relevant experience.
• Experience in trust structuring, succession planning, inheritance tax and international private‑client tax matters is desirable.
