Private Client Tax Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to build trusted relationships with individuals, families and trustees. Working closely with partners, you will lead the Private Client & Trust Services team and provide high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Personal and Trust Tax compliance service, reviewing and signing off returns.
• Deliver advisory work on trusts, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, offshore trusts and international tax matters.
• Oversee 60‑day CGT returns, Trust Registration Service, Trust IHT returns and CRS reporting.
• Liaise with HMRC, clients and professional advisers, managing complex relationships and risk.
• Coach, develop and manage the Private Client & Trust Services team, including workflow, billing and utilisation.
• Support recruitment, appraisals, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive business development through networking, client development and technical marketing.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Significant experience in Private Client Tax and Trusts.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax, trusts, inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills.

What we offer
