Private Equity Paralegal

About the role

Join a leading international law firm’s Private Equity team in London and play a hands‑on role in high‑profile transactions. You will support deal execution, due diligence and transaction management, gaining exposure to sophisticated M&A and investment deals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage initial drafts of transaction and corporate documents for lawyer review.
• Assist with legal due diligence, reviewing documentation and coordinating questionnaires.
• Conduct Companies House and other corporate searches.
• Manage virtual data rooms and organise documents on platforms such as Datasite.
• Maintain transaction bibles and organise closing documentation.
• Prepare, update and monitor signing and closing checklists.
• Track transaction deliverables and project milestones.
• Coordinate warranty and disclosure processes, including supporting warranty calls.
• Liaise with lawyers, clients and third parties to ensure efficient deal execution.
• Provide general transactional and administrative support to the Private Equity team.

Required profile

• Previous paralegal experience within a Corporate, M&A or Private Equity team, preferably at a recognised law firm.
• Strong understanding of corporate transactions and legal due diligence processes.
• Experience conducting Companies House searches and managing transaction documents.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, commercially minded and willing to take ownership of tasks.
• LPC, SQE or equivalent legal qualification preferred but not essential.
