Private Housekeeper – Full-time London

About the role

This full-time, on-site position is based in the London area and involves maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented private home. The Private Housekeeper will ensure daily cleanliness of all living spaces while providing discreet, courteous service to household members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and tidy living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens – dusting, vacuuming, mopping and polishing surfaces.
• Make beds and manage linen, including washing, drying, ironing and caring for delicate fabrics.
• Oversee wardrobe management and occasional errands such as receiving deliveries.
• Coordinate with other household staff to ensure smooth operation of the home.

Required profile

• Strong laundry and garment-care skills for a variety of fabrics.
• Clear, professional communication and a customer-service mindset focused on discretion and reliability.
• Excellent organisational abilities to manage cleaning schedules and storage systems.
• Previous professional housekeeping experience in private households, hotels or similar settings.
• High attention to detail, good time-management and the ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to adapt to household preferences, schedule changes and special events.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom and professional references confirming prior experience.
