Private Wealth Solicitor (5+ PQE) – Reading, Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Wealth Solicitor to join a leading commercial law firm in Reading. The role offers the chance to work with high‑net‑worth individuals, families and business owners on complex wealth planning and succession matters, within a collaborative and forward‑thinking team.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and advise on complex Wills and lasting powers of attorney for high‑value estates.
• Create, administer and terminate trusts, providing strategic guidance.
• Manage estate administration and succession planning for medium to high‑net‑worth clients.
• Advise on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax implications related to trusts and estates.
• Support business succession planning for entrepreneurs and family‑owned enterprises.
• Develop family investment companies and long‑term wealth preservation strategies.
• Identify business development opportunities and nurture client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in private client or private wealth work.
• Proven experience advising high‑net‑worth clients on complex wealth planning.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Proactive, ambitious and eager to contribute to the growth of the private wealth team.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting Wills, trusts and estate planning documents.
• In‑depth knowledge of tax considerations affecting trusts and estates.
• Ability to handle business succession and family investment structures.
