Probate Solicitor

About the role

Our client, a growing law firm in Bury, is looking for a qualified Probate Solicitor to manage probate matters. The position offers a hybrid working model, with at least three days in the office and the remainder remote, and flexible or part‑time options may be considered for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of probate matters from instruction through to completion.
• Advise clients on estate administration, wills and inheritance issues.
• Prepare and submit probate applications and related documentation.
• Liaise with executors, beneficiaries, financial institutions and HMRC.
• Ensure compliance with SRA standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with post‑qualification experience in probate.
• Strong knowledge of probate procedures, estate administration and inheritance law.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
• Organisational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with case‑management systems such as Proclaim, Hoowla or Filemaker.
