Process Architecture and Governance Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Process Architecture and Governance Lead to own the design, documentation and oversight of end‑to‑end processes across Capital One UK. The role will drive continuous improvement, embed robust governance and leverage AI‑enabled optimisation to support a fast‑growing lending business.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a unified framework for process documentation, monitoring and performance measurement across all functional areas.
• Lead end‑to‑end process‑mapping projects from discovery through launch, identifying gaps and delivering actionable improvements.
• Design and deliver workshops that up‑skill Process Managers in process‑excellence tools and methodologies.
• Partner with senior stakeholders and Product Owners to challenge assumptions, safeguard process integrity and embed risk‑aware practices.
• Experiment with AI and large language models to structure unstructured process data, enabling automated insights and continuous improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in process management, improvement methodologies and governance frameworks, preferably within a regulated financial environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to apply 80/20 thinking to complex problems while maintaining risk controls.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building relationships and constructively challenging senior leaders.
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and a clear understanding of how to prepare process data for AI consumption.
