Process Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Exeter. The role focuses on developing robust manufacturing processes for high‑performance cast components, supporting quality improvement and cost‑effective production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain process engineering activities across the casting operation.
• Provide technical support to production teams to ensure castings meet customer specifications.
• Develop and qualify stable, repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Review product designs and specifications for compliance with engineering standards.
• Prepare customer qualification reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate engineering projects, schedule activities and resolve metallurgical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capability, quality and efficiency.
• Investigate manufacturing issues using root‑cause analysis and structured problem‑solving.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities through process optimisation and waste elimination.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with experience in process engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Experience in casting, metallurgy, materials engineering or aerospace manufacturing is advantageous.
