Process Engineer – Manufacturing Improvement

About the role

We are seeking three Process Engineers to drive performance improvements across our Cardiff manufacturing site. You will work closely with production, quality and engineering teams to enhance safety, quality, output and cost in a regulated medical-device environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse production data to identify losses and improve OEE, yield, flow and cost.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem‑solving methods.
• Support new product introductions by designing manufacturing solutions, tooling and training.
• Maintain process documentation, PFMEAs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Proven experience delivering measurable process improvements in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of OEE, quality metrics and cost reduction.
• Ability to analyse data and translate insights into practical actions.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.

• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• OEE analysis and process capability assessment.
• Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• 2D/3D CAD software for engineering drawings.
• Electromechanical equipment knowledge.
• Process validation techniques.
• PLC, HMI, OPC UA and industrial networking basics.
• Ignition and Power BI visualisation tools.
