Process Engineer – Textiles

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK manufacturer of technical fabrics to find an experienced Process Engineer. You will act as the technical authority for a specific textile manufacturing area, helping to improve product quality, yield and overall equipment effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on process settings, materials, machinery performance and product behaviour.
• Investigate and resolve quality, yield and performance issues on the shop floor.
• Identify root causes of process variation and implement practical, data‑driven solutions.
• Develop and document best‑practice operating methods and support knowledge transfer.
• Assist with trials, new product introductions and equipment upgrades.
• Coach operators, supervisors and engineers to raise technical standards across the site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in textile or related manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to solve manufacturing, quality or process performance problems.
• Track record of improving yield, process stability, throughput or equipment effectiveness.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor with operators and production leaders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of slitting, drying, binding, blending or carding processes.
• Strong practical problem‑solving skills supported by data analysis.
• Understanding of OEE, yield improvement and process optimisation.
