Process Operator – 4 on 4 off shift, up to £44k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Process Operator to join a leading process manufacturer in South West England. The role works a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, covering both days and nights, and offers a clear progression route into a Maintenance Engineer position.

Key responsibilities

• Run day‑to‑day site operations and vehicle loading to meet the production plan.
• Maintain quality, environmental (ISO 14001/50001) and hygiene/5S standards.
• Deputise for the Shift Supervisor, drive performance via visual boards, and support engineers during maintenance and equipment downtime.

Required profile

• Experience in a processing or heavy‑manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with automated process control systems.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or willingness to train, with shunting capability.
• Strong team player with proactive safety mindset.
