Process Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Process Operator to join a leading chemical manufacturing business in Selby. The role involves operating and monitoring production processes to produce a range of bulk and packed chemicals for diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Handle acids and alkaline substances in liquid and powder form following detailed process sheets.
• Operate mixing vessels, spray dryers and various pumps (air, mono, peristaltic) to produce specified products.
• Perform titration, pH, solids, viscosity and specific gravity analyses to ensure product specifications.
• Fill containers such as IBCs, pump‑overs and poly bags for customer dispatch.
• Work a rotating 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern covering day and night shifts.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a process‑oriented manufacturing environment.
• Proven background working with chemicals or blending operations.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is advantageous.
