Process Operator - Laboratory

About the role

Bureau Veritas is looking for a Process Operator in its laboratory in Witham. The role keeps the laboratory running smoothly, working alongside experienced Chemists and Supervisors in a fast-paced, scientific setting. Shifts run Monday to Friday on weekly rotations, 6am-1pm, 1pm or afternoon.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and weigh analytical samples accurately
• Support testing processes by making sure materials are ready for analysis
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised laboratory
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware
• Provide porter support across the site, using a company vehicle if licensed
• Follow procedures to ensure quality, safety and compliance

Required profile

• Detail-oriented, reliable and organised, able to manage tasks efficiently
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Comfortable in a structured, process-driven environment
• Professional and able to handle confidential information
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (for porter duties)

Required skills

• Confident using basic computer systems
• Accuracy and attention to detail
