Process Operator – North Region

About the role

Join Yorkshire Water’s Process team to help keep water and wastewater services running smoothly across the North of the region. You will travel between sites in Northallerton, Colburn, Harrogate and Bradford, working as part of a planned rota that covers evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control process plant and pumping equipment to maintain safe and reliable water supply.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and call‑outs as part of the standby rota.
• Carry out routine inspections, maintenance tasks and record keeping.
• Collaborate with the operational team to optimise performance and minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Northallerton, Colburn, Harrogate or Bradford.
• Available to work a 37‑hour week on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Willingness to travel between sites and use a company van as a mobile worker.
• Ability to work independently once fully trained.
