Process Operator – South Region

About the role

Yorkshire Water is looking for motivated Process Operators to join the South region team. You will travel between multiple water‑treatment and pumping sites across Yorkshire, ensuring safe and reliable water and wastewater services for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process plant equipment, including pumps, valves and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections, routine maintenance and troubleshooting on site.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures to protect staff and the community.
• Report operational data and incidents accurately using company systems.
• Participate in on‑call standby rota, responding to emergencies outside normal hours when required.

Required profile

• Willingness to work a rotating schedule covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Ability to travel daily between sites within the South Yorkshire area.
• Good physical fitness for mobile, on‑site work.
• Commitment to complete training and work independently once qualified.
