Process Safety Engineer (Progression to Systems Engineer)

About the role

We are seeking a Process Safety Engineer who wants to develop into a Systems Engineer through expert training on Distributed Control System (DCS) configuration and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) design. You will represent a global OEM, working on complex projects across manufacturing, energy production, offshore oil & gas and chemical processing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and commission Safety Instrumented Systems and Distributed Control Systems for industrial and process sites.
• Provide training on bespoke DCS software and support customers on system integration.
• Optional offshore assignments to increase earnings.
• Work a hybrid schedule – 2 days remote per week and occasional week‑long on‑site periods.
• Follow a compressed fortnightly pattern, giving every other Friday off.

Required profile

• Current Process Safety Engineer or similar background.
• Motivation to progress into a Systems Engineer role.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.

• Salary £44,000‑£50,000 (OTE up to £65,000 with overtime)
