Procurement Business Partner – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Business Partner to join a prestigious public‑sector organisation on a 12‑month contract. Working closely with directors and senior leaders, you will shape procurement strategy, ensure compliance, and deliver value‑driven solutions across a diverse portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders to develop and manage procurement plans.
• Lead end‑to‑end procurement exercises in line with current legislation.
• Provide commercial advice on procurement strategy, contract management and supplier performance.
• Monitor contract spend, governance and compliance.
• Support supplier relationship management and contract performance reviews.
• Deliver procurement training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure procurement activity represents best value and minimises commercial risk.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and systems.

Required profile

• Significant procurement experience, preferably in the public sector.
• Strong knowledge of Government Commercial standards and procurement legislation.
• Proven ability to manage complex procurement projects independently.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience in contract and supplier management.
• Ideally CIPS Level 4 qualified (or working towards).
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple priorities.
