Procurement Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Coordinator to join our small engineering team in Witney. You will manage purchase orders from creation through delivery, building strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring smooth supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and track purchase orders, following them through to receipt.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records in the ERP/MRP system.
• Develop and nurture supplier relationships, monitoring performance and addressing issues.
• Identify opportunities for supply‑chain optimisation and process improvement.
• Collaborate with production planning and the wider supply‑chain team.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tasks such as packing deliveries or covering reception when needed.

Required profile

• Experience creating purchase orders and managing suppliers in any industry.
• Comfortable using an ERP or MRP system.
• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Excellent phone etiquette and relationship‑building skills.
• Flexible, proactive SME mindset, willing to pitch in across the business.
