Procurement Manager – Electrical & Industrial Products

About the role

Join a fast‑growing supplier of electrical and industrial products as the Procurement Manager. Based in Leeds, you will lead the procurement function, shaping strategy, driving commercial performance and supporting the next phase of business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Build, manage and strengthen supplier relationships to ensure service quality and commercial performance.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and margin improvement through negotiation and supplier management.
• Lead inventory optimisation and demand forecasting to maximise stock availability while controlling working capital.
• Enhance procurement processes, systems and controls for efficiency and scalability.
• Analyse supplier performance and market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Mentor and develop the procurement team, fostering continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and senior leadership to support customer requirements and business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Senior Buyer or Procurement Lead in an electrical, engineering, manufacturing, automation or industrial environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering cost savings and margin improvements.
• Ability to lead transformation across purchasing, supplier management and inventory planning.
