Procurement Manager – Fixed‑Term (12 months) – Bath

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join a well‑established charity in Bath on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Working 22.5 hours per week, you will lead the full procurement lifecycle, ensuring value for money, compliance and high‑quality contract management across a diverse portfolio of services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement and tendering activities, from specification development to contract award.
• Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and all relevant regulations.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance.
• Maintain procurement systems, contracts register and accurate records.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements to enhance value for money and support ethical, sustainable sourcing.

Required profile

• CIPS Level 4 qualification (minimum).
• Proven experience in public‑sector procurement.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and the full procurement lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
