Procurement Manager – Indirect Spend Category

About the role

This role is for an experienced, commercially‑minded Procurement Manager to lead the indirect spend function for a fast‑growing FMCG/manufacturing business. You will own the end‑to‑end procurement process, drive cost efficiencies and ensure robust governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage indirect spend categories such as energy, packaging, facilities, transport, IT, professional services and capital equipment.
• Analyse spend data, develop category strategies and benchmark pricing to identify savings.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead contract negotiations, manage renewals and tender processes to secure favourable commercial terms.
• Develop and enforce procurement policies, procedures and controls, promoting compliance and best practices.
• Identify procurement and supply‑chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in indirect procurement within FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret spend data and develop category strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Knowledge of procurement governance, risk management and process improvement.
