Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our growing team in Liverpool. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to lead strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver value and strengthen supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead sourcing activities, including supplier selection, tendering and contract negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities while ensuring quality, compliance and service levels.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage procurement risks and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
• Produce spend analysis, market intelligence and procurement reports to support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and other departments to support growth and operational excellence.
• Mentor and develop junior procurement team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or senior procurement role.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated record of delivering measurable cost savings.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full UK driving licence (if travel is required).
• Desirable: CIPS Level 4+ or working towards qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, logistics or a similar commercial setting.
