Procurement Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join ReAgent Chemical Services in Runcorn. The role will lead the optimisation of both direct and indirect spend, ensuring value for money, supplier performance and risk mitigation across our chemical manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end procurement processes, including tenders, negotiations and contract award.
• Negotiate and manage supplier agreements, setting KPIs and service level targets.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through analysis, benchmarking and continuous improvement.
• Monitor supplier risk, performance and compliance, taking corrective action when needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to balance cost, lead times and operational risk.
• Provide UK procurement expertise for global projects.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in chemical or manufacturing environments.
• Strong background in indirect procurement such as site services, engineering, maintenance and CAPEX.
• Proven track record of contract negotiation, supplier management and delivering savings.
• Commercially focused with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Independent, organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence preferred and willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally Europe.
