Procurement Officer – Distributor (Slough)

About the role
We are seeking a Procurement Officer to join a fast‑moving distributor supplying utilities and infrastructure projects across the UK. Based in Slough, you will support a high‑performing sales team, manage supplier relationships and ensure stock availability for major construction contracts.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain stock levels using the company ERP system.
- Raise and manage purchase orders to guarantee timely replenishment.
- Proactively chase overdue orders and manage supplier lead times.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and rebate agreements with suppliers.
- Identify, onboard and develop new suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews.
Required profile
- Background in procurement, preferably within construction or manufacturing.
- Experience handling purchase orders and stock management.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to build supplier relationships.
