Procurement Specialist – Hybrid (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join a leading defence and aerospace organisation’s supply chain team on a 12‑month contract. The role is hybrid, based in Bristol, and offers the chance to work on complex programmes while managing supplier relationships and procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts for products, services and technologies.
• Support sourcing initiatives and develop effective procurement strategies.
• Prepare and execute contractual documentation and agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitoring performance, quality and delivery.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Balance inventory, demand and supply to support programme delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business objectives.
• Analyse demand and supply trends to inform decision‑making.
• Communicate supplier performance metrics and expectations.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or buying roles.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, changing environment.
• Defence, aerospace or engineering sector experience is beneficial.
• BPSS security clearance required.
• Full right to work in the UK.

• Hybrid working arrangement (3 days per week in the Bristol office).
• Competitive daily rate of approximately £250 (inside IR35).
• 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
