Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join a leading medical technology manufacturer. The role focuses on managing plant maintenance stores, driving cost‑saving initiatives and supporting the overall procurement strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage Plant Maintenance Stores projects and team.
• Support value‑creation initiatives, inventory reduction and day‑to‑day store activities.
• Oversee stock‑take processes to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Review and authorise price adjustments, new part creation and safety stock requests.
• Develop and implement procurement strategy aligned with organisational goals.
• Analyse spend data to identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Identify and integrate new suppliers to meet vendor reduction targets.
• Lead price and contract negotiations focusing on cost reduction and supply‑chain improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, planners and category management on savings projects.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure KPI compliance.

Required profile

• CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
• Proven supply‑chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Certification in Production and Inventory Management.
• Strong PC knowledge and ability to work with various systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and business‑analysis capabilities.
