About the role

Join Baker Hughes' SP&S team as a Procurement Specialist, managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery of high‑value products and services for an engineering/manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities and purchase order execution for assigned suppliers.
• Drive on‑time delivery performance and ensure material availability to meet business requirements.
• Build strong supplier relationships and act as the primary point of contact for procurement‑related matters.
• Identify and resolve supply‑chain challenges, escalating issues when necessary and communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure seamless order execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans to enhance delivery, quality, and cost.
• Ensure compliance with company sourcing policies, contractual requirements, and procurement procedures.
• Support negotiations on pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Analyze procurement data and market trends to identify cost‑saving and process‑improvement opportunities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives across procurement and supplier‑management processes.
• Manage multiple suppliers and priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Keep internal stakeholders informed of supplier performance, delivery risks, delays, and mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Significant experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply‑chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing suppliers of complex, long‑lead‑time, high‑value products.
