Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will lead the planning, purchasing and management of goods and services required for our manufacturing operations. You will optimise procurement processes, maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure timely, cost‑effective acquisition while overseeing the internal stores function.

Key responsibilities

• Identify procurement needs across the business and manage direct procurement of raw materials, goods and services.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets in line with financial targets.
• Oversee the full procurement process, including purchase orders, approvals and delivery timelines.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks to prevent disruption.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators to drive cost reduction and efficiency.
• Monitor industry trends to continuously improve procurement strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supply‑chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and supplier‑management capabilities.
• Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies.
• Experience managing budgets and analysing cost data.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements related to purchasing.
• Excellent organisational skills with a focus on risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

• Competitive salary of £42,000‑£45,000 per annum.
• Standard working hours 08:00‑16:30, Monday to Friday.
