Product Developer – Sports Apparel & Equipment

About the role

The company is a premium sports performance brand seeking a Product Developer to own the full product lifecycle for apparel, accessories and equipment. You will work from concept through launch, ensuring each product meets the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end product lifecycle across all categories, from initial concept to market launch.
• Coordinate milestones between internal teams (Creative, Operations, Marketing) and external UK and international suppliers.
• Act as the central point of contact for all product ranges, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Present product updates and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, including the CEO.
• Contribute to the wider product strategy as part of the leadership team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product development or design within sports apparel, accessories and equipment.
• Strong background in range development, new product development (NPD) and supplier management.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with confidence presenting to senior audiences.
• High organisational capability and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of technical fabrics, materials and product construction.
• Experience working with UK and international factories and suppliers.
• IT proficiency for managing product data and documentation.
