Product Engineer – Full‑Stack UI Focus

About the role

Caribou is building a tax platform that makes international tax accessible to every global business. As a Product Engineer you will help translate dense, jurisdiction‑specific tax data into clear, actionable interfaces for finance leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Turn genuinely complex tax concepts into interfaces that are obvious at a glance.
• Work directly with the tax team to shape requirements and own features end‑to‑end, from frontend to backend.
• Own and evolve the design system and component library to maintain visual quality.
• Build data‑dense views such as entity graphs, intercompany flows, compliance status, and documentation dashboards.
• Monitor customer experience, proactively raise issues and deploy fixes.
• Ship quickly while setting high standards for what “shipped” means at Caribou.

Required profile

• 3+ years building production web applications, primarily on the frontend.
• Demonstrable UI craft with attention to spacing, hierarchy, motion, and empty states.
• Experience presenting complex or data‑heavy information clearly via dashboards, graphs, tables, or editors.
• Comfortable across the stack, able to write APIs and migrations without waiting for others.
• Strong SQL (PostgreSQL) skills, including ORM usage, queries, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills to translate CFO and tax specialist needs into clear specifications.
