Product Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Product Engineer to join Capi’s high‑performing engineering team. You will work closely with the founding team in London and Paris to shape product vision, build scalable cross‑border payment infrastructure, and deliver features that help businesses in emerging markets grow.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the end‑to‑end product process: ideation, UI and backend development, deployment, feedback collection and measurement.
• Communicate new features internally and externally, gather pre‑implementation feedback and lead launch communications.
• Define and manage delivery milestones, aligning engineering and product priorities.
• Build intuitive, performant web interfaces for African business owners and implement IT‑security and data‑protection best practices in a regulated environment.
• Proactively influence architecture to improve scalability, observability and modularity, and champion code quality through testing, documentation and reviews.
• Identify internal process improvements, automate non‑technical workflows and handle production incidents.
