Product Manager – Engineering Products

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to work with engineering components for a reputable client in Salford. You will support the sales office, stores and customers across a broad range of industrial engineering products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal sales and provide customer support.
• Prepare and process quotations and orders.
• Source products and liaise with suppliers.
• Assist with breakdown situations and urgent customer enquiries.
• Support store operations and stock‑control activities.
• Contribute to the development of product ranges and supplier relationships.
• Provide guidance to customers on technical product selection.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in the engineering products and consumables sector.
• Strong product knowledge, particularly in bearings, power transmission or industrial distribution.
• Background in internal sales or trade‑counter roles.
• Excellent customer‑service, communication and telephone skills, with experience serving industrial MRO customers.
• Well‑organised, commercially aware and able to work effectively under pressure.
