Product Specialist / Buyer – Office based in Oldham

About the role

Join an exciting supplier to retailers, working with a wide variety of toys and related products. Based in Oldham, you will own and drive the creative and commercial development of product ranges across assigned brands and categories, becoming a recognised market expert.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular in‑store and online competitive shopping to capture market trends, pricing and product formats.
• Create commercially viable seasonal collections, drafting range plans with SKUs, RRPs, descriptions, packaging concepts and supplier recommendations.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to meet margin and cost‑efficiency targets.
• Maintain accurate pricing and specifications in collaboration with the Product Admin team.
• Set up and manage Teams project chats, track deadlines and keep development range plans up‑to‑date.
• Oversee style files, ensure specifications are approved and manage artwork and packaging approvals.

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate trend insights into profitable product ranges.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
