Product Specialist, OTC Commodities

About the role

We are a fast‑growing FinTech startup building a next‑generation data platform for OTC derivatives. The Product Specialist, OTC Commodities will act as the bridge between our data product, clients and the broader market, focusing on energy, metals and agricultural derivatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for data‑related discussions with financial institutions and market participants.
• Support client onboarding, explain data methodologies, aggregation logic and anonymisation approaches.
• Gather client feedback and translate it into product requirements and enhancements.
• Lead the expansion of OTC commodities data coverage, identifying gaps in energy, metals and agricultural derivatives.
• Collaborate with product, data, engineering and commercial teams to align platform capabilities with client needs.
• Assist sales teams as a subject‑matter expert on OTC data and market structure.
• Represent the company at client meetings, workshops and industry events.

Required profile

• Strong experience in OTC commodities derivatives and financial market data.
• Background in a data vendor, market data provider, exchange, trading firm, consultancy or a commodities‑focused finance function.
• Deep knowledge of valuation and risk conventions for energy, metals and agricultural derivatives.
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proven client‑facing skills and the capacity to build trust with senior stakeholders.
