Product Tax Manager

About the role

The Product Tax Manager will provide expert tax advisory services for UK, Luxembourg and Irish funds, supporting product, investment and operational teams across the fund range. This long‑term contract position is based in Edinburgh and involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tax advice for UK, Luxembourg and Irish funds and support the wider international fund portfolio.
• Coordinate business and third‑party providers, managing external tax compliance agents to ensure accurate reporting and filing.
• Monitor tax impacts of new territories, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate changes to the business.
• Maintain internal tax policies and procedures, working with global colleagues where required.
• Manage a large book of outsourced international tax compliance work, including European investor tax reporting and withholding tax reclaims.
• Provide tax support for new product launches, mergers, closures and other fund activities.
• Research complex tax matters, respond to inquiries and propose solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with custodians, fund administrators and advisory firms.
• Ensure effective controls and processes to manage investment and fund tax risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fund tax advisory and international tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of UK, Luxembourg and Irish fund tax regimes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external advisors.
• Excellent communication skills to convey tax impacts and changes.
