Production Coordinator – CNC Manufacturing

About the role

TechNichols Resourcing Ltd is a well‑established precision engineering manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Coordinator / Production Planner to join its leadership team. Working in a modern CNC machining environment, you will support production management by coordinating daily shop‑floor activities, managing resources and ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day production activities across the shop floor to maintain efficient workflow and on‑time delivery.
• Support workforce planning, attendance management, overtime coordination and resource allocation.
• Monitor and track Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (QSDC) performance metrics.
• Maintain training records, competency matrices and coordinate training requirements.
• Assist maintenance planning, equipment breakdown escalation and TPM activities.
• Identify and remove production barriers, support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Track corrective actions, improvement projects and production‑related issues.
• Ensure availability of tooling, consumables and other resources while upholding 5S and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a CNC machining or precision engineering environment.
• Background as a Production Coordinator, Planner, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Salary £45,000‑£53,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
