Production Coordinator

About the role

The Production Coordinator will support the Production Manager in planning, purchasing, logistics and administrative activities to ensure efficient manufacturing and installation of products. This full‑time position is based in Shaw, North West England and welcomes applications from ex‑military personnel as well as all qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in developing and maintaining production schedules.
• Update schedules to reflect changes in priorities, customer requirements or material availability.
• Prepare and issue production work orders.
• Raise and process purchase orders for raw materials, components, consumables, tooling and subcontract services.
• Source materials, obtain supplier quotations and negotiate to reduce spend.
• Monitor supplier performance, confirm orders, delivery dates and pricing.
• Arrange accommodation and transport for installation teams, including flights, rail, vehicle hire and taxis.
• Track stock levels of production materials and consumables.
• Produce monthly production progress reports and WIP charts.
• Act as a liaison between Production, Purchasing, Stores, Installation Teams, Sales, Suppliers and Project Managers.
• Coordinate project priorities to meet delivery and installation dates, preparing RAMS and required permits.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning, purchasing, logistics and installation coordination.

Required profile

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, busy environment.

Required skills
