Production Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Production Engineer to join our expanding manufacturing team in Milton Keynes. You will support and optimise our multi‑stage production line, driving continuous improvement across laser cutting, forming, welding, assembly and rubber processing.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and improve manufacturing processes, production flow, plant layout and cycle times.
• Identify and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles, waste reduction techniques and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Optimise manufacturing methods across laser cutting, forming, bending, welding, assembly and rubber processing.
• Support automation projects and equipment upgrades to boost productivity.
• Act as the technical interface between Engineering and Production, investigating and resolving production issues, quality concerns and bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain stable, repeatable and robust manufacturing processes, providing hands‑on engineering support to production teams.
• Ensure processes comply with internal quality standards and relevant ISO certifications.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methods.
