Production Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Production Engineering Manager to lead a small team and drive product performance, manufacturing optimisation and testing capability. Based in Bristol, you will work across engineering, operations and external manufacturing partners to deliver continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small Production Engineering team with scope to grow responsibilities.
• Own production engineering and product test activities across an established product portfolio.
• Develop and improve product test specifications and physical test environments.
• Collaborate with external manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and enhance performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, manufacturability and production efficiency.
• Support new‑product‑introduction (NPI) projects while enhancing existing products in production.

Required profile

• Production, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering experience within an OEM or product‑based business.
• Experience developing or managing product testing and validation.
• Strong problem‑solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Experience working with manufacturing partners and introducing products into production.
• Leadership experience or ambition to step into an engineering management role.
