Production Line Technical Lead

About the role

As the Production Line Technical Lead you will own the technical performance of a dedicated manufacturing line. You will ensure equipment reliability, maximise throughput and minimise downtime while supporting the operational team in a safe, efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and oversee preventive maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations and company strategy.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting, repair and optimisation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Coach and train engineers and operators on proper machine operation, fault prevention and safety procedures.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production Line Manager and cross‑functional stakeholders to close skills gaps and optimise line performance.
• Manage maintenance resources, budgets and on‑call rota once fully trained.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably food/FMCG.
• Strong understanding of production line processes, equipment and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Ability to plan preventive maintenance proactively and control budgets.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
