Production Machine Operative – Manufacturing

About the role

We are a well‑established manufacturer of high‑quality kitchen and bedroom furniture based in Wigan. We are seeking a reliable Production Machine Operative to join our full‑time production team and help deliver components to exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently throughout each shift.
• Set up, adjust and fine‑tune machines according to job specifications.
• Manufacture kitchen and bedroom components, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Carry out routine quality checks on finished products.
• Read and follow production schedules and job sheets.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Report any machinery faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Production Machine Operative or in a similar manufacturing setting.
• Experience in furniture, kitchen or bedroom manufacturing is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
