Production Manager – Continuous Improvement

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations at our Ellesmere Port site. You will drive continuous improvement projects, mentor high‑performing teams and ensure our SOPs, quality standards and audit compliance are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver continuous improvement (CI) projects from concept to completion, engaging the team and fostering accountability.
• Maintain and improve SOPs, ensuring efficient, sustainable ways of working.
• Provide day‑to‑day support and mentorship across the continental shift, with occasional night‑shift interaction.
• Uphold audit standards for BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and SMETA Sedex.
• Drive productivity, waste reduction and cost‑conscious resource management.

Required profile

• Commercially‑minded, people‑centred leader with resilience and a results‑driven attitude.
• Hands‑on production experience with a proven track record of delivering CI.
• Visible presence on the shop floor through Gemba walks, 1:1s and regular team meetings.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and leading significant change or transformation projects.
• Background in FMCG or converting environments.
