Production Manager

About the role

Albert Bartlett, a leading UK potato producer, is launching a brand‑new chilled potato factory and seeks a Production Manager to lead the operation from day one. You will oversee the entire production line, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality output of oven‑ready chilled goods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage production teams to achieve daily and weekly output targets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and food‑safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics and optimise workflows.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to uphold product standards.
• Allocate resources, including staffing and equipment, effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a production management role within food manufacturing or processing.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Good organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication for cross‑departmental liaison.
• Flexibility to work shifts or flexible hours as needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP and other food‑safety standards.
