Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead a small food manufacturing operation, overseeing all aspects of production, planning, product development, quality, food safety and logistics. This position is central to driving continuous improvement, supporting business growth and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing Division and build a high‑performing team.
• Manage production planning, capacity utilisation and operational performance.
• Drive product development, innovation and recipe standardisation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, allergens, labelling and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare the business for EHO, customer and BRCGS audits.
• Oversee suppliers, inventory and production scheduling.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Logistics to deliver excellent customer service.
• Implement cost‑reduction initiatives, improve labour productivity and reduce waste.
• Develop KPIs, budgets and management reporting.
• Promote health & safety and continuous improvement culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product management within FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of production processes and operational efficiency.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Knowledge of health, safety and compliance regulations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
