Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the manufacturing department of a high‑volume food production site, reporting to the Factory Manager. This senior position is responsible for safety, quality, cost, and people performance while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all production activities to meet operational and business objectives.
• Maintain and improve health & safety standards, reducing hazards and promoting proactive engagement.
• Ensure food safety, GMP and quality standards are audit‑ready at all times.
• Control costs through effective labour, material, waste and equipment management.
• Conduct root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and coach a high‑performing team, ensuring succession planning and capability building.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety standards and quality systems.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement, productivity and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Excellent people‑management, coaching and performance‑management skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
