Production Manager – Manufacturing (Glasgow)

About the role

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking two Production Managers for its high‑volume manufacturing site in Glasgow. One manager will cover the day shift (06:30‑15:00) and the other the late shift (15:00‑23:30). The role involves overseeing the full production hall, ensuring output, quality and on‑time delivery meet the company’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own line outputs, shift targets and quality standards for the assigned shift.
• Monitor and improve OEE, yield, giveaway reduction and labour efficiency.
• Plan resources and optimise machine utilisation to meet daily schedules.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Technical and support teams to maintain product flow.
• Lead performance reviews, root‑cause investigations and downtime analysis.
• Ensure compliance with traceability, GMP, allergen controls and food‑safety procedures.
• Mentor Assistant Managers and Line Leaders, building a strong team and succession pipeline.
• Report on KPIs and represent production in daily review meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Manager in a high‑speed, high‑care manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP, food‑safety and traceability requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive continuous improvement and meet OTIF targets.
• Excellent analytical skills for performance monitoring and problem solving.
