Production Operative – 4 on 4 off shifts

About the role

Join a fast‑paced manufacturing team at Caterpillar’s Skinningrove facility, working a 4‑on‑4‑off pattern that includes both day and night shifts. You will contribute to safe, high‑quality production while developing valuable technical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain personal and team safety, reporting hazards promptly.
• Follow standard operating procedures and assist with equipment start‑up and shut‑down.
• Operate overhead cranes and, after training, forklift trucks (FLT) to support production.
• Perform and record quality checks, entering data into the relevant systems.
• Identify equipment issues, take corrective action, and communicate discrepancies.
• Support maintenance activities and keep the work area clean through 5S practices.
• Provide thorough shift handovers and follow production schedules.
• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader or Operations Manager.
