Production Operative

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Production Operative to join a permanent, fixed‑location team in Leighton Buzzard. You will work rotating weekly shifts in a heavy‑manufacturing environment, helping to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery, manufacturing equipment and mobile plant machinery.
• Run overhead cranes, counter‑balance forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
• Carry out general labouring, housekeeping and keep work areas tidy.
• Follow health & safety policies and safe‑working procedures.
• Assist with production activities to achieve quality and output goals.
• Undertake any reasonable duties requested by management.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing, industrial or production setting.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, counter‑balance forklifts or similar equipment.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Strong team player who can also work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
