Production Operative

About the role

We are seeking motivated Production Operatives for a busy animal feeds plant near Banbury, Oxfordshire. The role offers a collaborative environment with clear pathways for professional development and the chance to become a multi‑skilled member of a long‑standing business.

Key responsibilities

• Handle raw materials and finished products in a production and storage facility.
• Perform manual cleaning tasks such as sweeping, scraping and shovelling to keep areas tidy.
• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift (CB FLT) and modern bucket loaders to load and unload lorries safely.
• Control loading/unloading processes, operate the weighbridge, and follow health & safety procedures.
• Carry out quality control checks and use the company’s production computer system.
• Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of plant equipment.

Required profile

• Basic computer literacy.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Own transport is essential.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Counterbalance FLT / loading shovel licence (training can be provided).

What we offer

• Basic salary £30,700 per annum (before allowances, bonuses and overtime).
• Potential earnings over £37,000 including bonuses and overtime (£14.76 normal hour, £18.45 overtime).
